Dirty Dingo Wondai

The inaugural Dirty Dingo Pub to Pub gravel event will be held in Wondai on Sunday 25 May 2025.

The event will be held on the gravel roads around Wondai and is supported by the South Burnett MTB Club and the South Burnett Rail Trail Association.

Three rides will be offered as follows:

Dirty Dingo - 80kms / 1170m elevation (60% gravel)

Route - Dirty Dingo | 79.6 km Mountain Biking Trail on Strava

The Pup - 43kms / 640m elevation (75% gravel)

Route - The Pup | 42.9 km Cycling Route on Strava

Gravel Kids - 15km / 95m on the SBRT

Route - Dirty Dingo - Gravel Kids | 15.6 km Cycling Route on Strava

Free to ride with children U12 to be accompanied by a riding adult.

We're keen to make this a social weekend not just a ride so would love to see people come up on the Saturday and join us for dinner and drinks in Wondai (Venue/Time TBA)

Sunday is about getting out on the luxe gravel around Wondai. It's NOT a race it's a day to enjoy our magnificent country, meet some new friends and enjoy a post ride beverage. 

Each ride will have a minimum of 1 KOM/QOM segment.

Important ride details...

• Ride starts out the front of the Wondai Hotel 1903 and finishes at the Tingoora Hotel (approx 8kms up the SBRT from Wondai)
• This not a beginners ride and you need to be capable of riding both the distance/elevation of your selected ride as well as the surface conditions ie. mixed surface gravel and bitumen roads
• ALL roads are open to traffic throughout
• MTB and Gravel Bikes are suitable along with E versions of these
• Riders will be expected to have downloaded the route prior to commencing the ride (Available at least 2 weeks prior to the event)
• Riders need to be self-sufficient with food, water and spares
• ALL riders must attend the ride briefing and sign the waiver prior to riding

Cost 

For the Dirty Dingo we are using a Dynamic Pricing Model to encourage early registration which is a huge help to the organisers. The price starts low and then increases by $5 each week (changes on a Wednesday). A number of tickets will be allocated each week and when they are gone the pricing moves to the next level. This continues until 26 March when the final price increase occurs. Register in the first week and save 42% on the Dirty Dingo (56% on The Pup), book in the second week and save 33% etc
